How It Works

You may be wondering what "gonna love this place" means and where did it come from.  It was inspired by a sign on the driveway to the Camp Spearhead's old camp facility that said "I just love this place."  For Camp Spearhead's campers, "this place" was camp.  Parks and recreation provides so many places that people love.  Supporting parks and recreation helps ensure that future gennerations will have places to love as well. 

Donating to parks and recreation causes through this site is just like shopping on the Internet.  The idea is that you search through our list of items and opportunities by category or price. Once you find something you would like to donate to support one of the many programs, parks, and facilities essential to Greenville's quality of life, simply click on the "quantity" button to choose how many you would like to donate of that particular item. 

Once you have found an item you want to donate for a cause that you care about, click the "donate now" button. Instantly you are ready to check out.

When check out is complete and your gift has been finalized, the funds for your item(s) are managed and dispersed by the Greater Greenville Parks Foundation for the specific purpose you designated.  You can feel confident in knowing that the dollars you give are used for the items or needs you choose. All items on the site represent specific needs identified by key staff who utilize careful planning and assessment in support of public parks, programs and recreation for Greenville County.

To enhance your experience as a donor, you may choose to set up a user name and password on the homepage. Having a specific log in  allows you to place items in your shopping cart for future purchase. This gives you an opportunity to save items that you're interested in for future gifts.
